About Mum and Baby Fitness Classes

If you’re a mum with your hands full, taking some time out of your busy day to stay active and fit can do a world of good for you and your family.

At Witness the Fitness, every mum and bub is welcome!

We have created mums and baby fitness classes specifically for busy mums, so you have the chance to stay fit and healthy without having to part from your babies or young children.

When you join our friendly and welcoming group mums and bubs personal training classes, you will surrounded by like-minded mums with a passion for fitness. You will also have passionate and supportive trainers on your side to help you reach your fitness goals.

Mums of all fitness levels are welcome to join, and you are free to progress through each exercise at a pace that suits your abilities.

What Types of Exercises do we do in Class?

We instruct in a range of basic high-intensity workouts and exercises in our mum and baby fitness classes to get your heart rate up and to help you burn fat. Our exercise classes may include:

  • Leg toning squats
  • Butt forming deadlifts
  • Tummy tightening core exercises
  • Handstands to keep up with your kids

We also focus on core exercises that tighten the tummy and strengthen the lower back and abdominal muscles. All exercises are completed at your own pace.

FAQ's

There is no age limit to the bubs that can be brought to our class. In fact, we have had kids from 8 weeks old right up to 8 years old!

Even dogs come along sometimes, but they must be well behave of course!

At this stage, babies are not involved in the workout. If you feel comfortable, you are allowed to use your baby as a weight during the exercise, like during a squat for example. Otherwise, all babies and children who come along will remain close by under watchful eyes throughout the fitness class.

Along with having your little one in toe, bring along a water bottle so you can stay well hydrated, a towel to wipe off the sweat after your workout and something comfortable that your bub can sit on throughout the class.

Our class size varies from 2 to 10 participants. Mums can even choose to take part in one-on-one coaching if they prefer on a day or time that suits them.

Our mums and bubs personal training classes are held at 9.15am Monday to Friday.

Postnatal Exercise

Taking up fitness classes after giving birth is especially important to help rejuvenate your body, improve your abdominal and pelvic floor strength, boost your energy levels and increase your overall fitness levels.

Health experts say that new mums should gently exercise their pelvic floor and abdominal muscles every day. Your abdominal muscles should be healed before taking part in vigorous exercises such as crunches that directly affect the abdominal region.

At Witness the Fitness, our mum and baby classes are suited to mums who have had positive progress in postnatal recovery. We suggest consulting with your doctor or midwife first to make sure you are ready to join a postnatal exercise program.

You don’t need to be a new mum to join our mums and bubs fitness classes. We welcome mums with kids of all ages. Whether you a fitness class newbie or a workout pro, we would love for you to join us in one of our many mums and bubs personal training sessions!
